Card Game Types Guide |
The number of card game
types is huge. That’s why it is necessary to classify them.
There
are trick-taking games, matching games, shedding games, accumulating
games, fishing games, comparing games, solitaire
games (this card game types are also called Patience games), drinking
card games, multi-genre games, collectible card games (CCGs), casino or gambling card
games (it has a few
varieties – like poker
games
etc.) and other games.
In trick-taking games a
multiple number of rounds
(or tricks) are played. Every player plays a single card from a hand,
and depending on the values of played cards a player can win or "take"
the trick. To these card game types refers bridge, spades,
hearts and Tarot
card games.
Also drinking
card game types are interesting. From a name of these card game types
we can understand that you will have to drink. And this is right. If
you lose you will have to drink a beverage with high level pf
alcohol, if you win - you don't need to drink. These card game types
continue until one of the players is drunk.
The main objective of
matching games is to collect
the required groups of matching cards before an opponent can do the
same. For example, in Rummy (a famous matching card game) this is done
through drawing or discarding. The groups are called melds.
In accumulating card
game types the object is to
acquire all cards in the deck or in other words to accumulate them. In
comparing games all the players compare their cards. In these card game
types wins the player who has the highest cards. Solitaire card games
can play a single player. And in multi-genre games different rules from
other card game types can be borrowed. With the combination of
different rules a new card game can be created. These card game types
are spread among teenagers.
